They had been working on it since last August and six months later, it’s a reality.

The collaboration between the company Golfapp, which contributed the technical part and the Lo Romero Golf Course, responsible for practical aspects, has resulted in a mobile application that will give players on the course accurate information on aspects such as the details and design of each hole, tips, a scorecard with the player’s handicap, the slope of the course, sending the results by email, record of games, offers, location map and, naturally, online bookings. Regarding the latter aspect, Juan José Iñiguez, manager of Lo Romero, stressed that “as well as boosting player loyalty to the course with this app, it is also encouraging online sales”. This is an area where Lo Romera has achieved some very positive numbers.
The smartphone app was presented on January, 25- to coincide with the Anniversary Tournament of this golf course – to guests, future users and the media, by Antonio and Aitor Calle, manager and producer, respectively, of the company GolfApp. The application is currently available for iPhone only and will be in the Apple Store within a few days from which it can be downloaded, free of charge. It comes in two language versions; Spanish and English.
Users of Android phones will also be able to download the Golfapp within three months.
